Current Position: Reader in Systems Dependability

Research Interests:
    • Software engineering;
    • Software for multiprocessor and distributed systems;
    • Real-time process control in distributed systems;
    • Software reliability assessment, software safety, fault-tolerance, reliability and dependability, interactive consistency in distributed systems, local area networks performance evaluation;

Background: Peter has a PhD in Computer Science from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute (1989). He graduated from the same Institute in 1982.
Peter was appointed to a Lectureship in CSR in October 2000, promoted to a Senior Lectureship in October 2002 and a Readership in November 2007. Before that he was a Research Fellow in the same Centre since April 1997 when he joined the CSR. Before joining CSR Peter was employed by the Institute of Computer and Communication Systems of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences which was preceded by 6 years of experience in industry.
Peter is currently involved in the ReSIST, IRRIIS and DISPO projects.
